Lakes Entrance and the Ninety Mile Beach have a vast number of beautiful beaches for you to explore at your leisure. Only 10 minutes drive to Lake Tyers Beach; 5 minutes to  Lake Bunga Beach; 20 minutes to Metung; 40 minutes to Paynesville.

Across the road from Golden Terrace Holiday Park, you will find the calm waters of Cunningham Arm. An idyllic body of water supporting all forms of water sports and children’s activities including a picturesque boardwalk, kids playground, fishing, or you may enjoy a picnic beside the lake.

A short stroll down the road takes you to the infamous Footbridge, shops; cafes, and more. Plenty of shopping and eating options to suit all tastes.

A leisurely walk across the footbridge takes you to the other side of the lake and across to the beach. Surf the waves, have a swim or paddle, take a stroll along one of the walking tracks, have a snack at the surf beach cafe at the beach end of the footbridge, the kids can have a go at the blow up aquapark, or simply lay on the beach and take in the views and relax and sunbathe. (remember to slip, slop, slap and put on a hat)

Lots of tourist adventures to be had. Take a cruise along the lake system, hire a boat and go fishing, swim in the lake or at the beach, play a game of mini golf, visit the shell museum, hire a bike or Segway, stroll the esplanade and buy some fish fresh off one of the local fishing trawlers; joyride in a helicopter and see the area by air; sample some of the local wines at Wyanga Winery; have some fish and chips or a picnic at the footbridge rotunda or the newly upgraded Bullock Island precinct, have a game of lawn bowls at the local Bowls Club; try your luck at the pokies at the RSL Club, Entertainment Centre or the Bowls club, or just sit and watch the lake view from either the Central Hotel or on top of the hill at the Kalimna Pub.

Kids can enjoy one of the mini golf venues in town (we have three), check out the Shell museum, try your skills at the skate park, have some fun at the Apex Park playground. Take a seat at Bullock Island and watch the fishing boats going in and out through the entrance. You may even see some seals sunning themselves on the rocks or dolphins swimming.

There are plenty of options for fishing in and around the Lakes Entrance area to keep even the avid angler happy.

Buy some fresh fish or prawns when in season from either one of the local fishing trawlers along the town boardwalk, or from the local fish co-op located on Bullock Island.

You could head off to Buchan for one of the stunning cave tours (must be prebooked); have a picnic at the Nowa Nowa Trestle Bridge…. just to name a few of the many things to do in the East Gippsland area. There is so much to see and do in this region.
